Diet affirmations will prepare your mind for a change in eating habits that will be beneficial to your body. It will make possible weight loss as well as weight control.

A popular saying is “Diet works for you if you work the diet”. It simply means that you have to follow the diet rigorously. And that is the most difficult part of a diet.

We humans are creatures of habit. Hence the quotation:

Sow a thought and reap an act;

Sow an act and reap a habit;

Sow a habit and reap a character;

Sow a character and reap a destiny.

Thus our action of eating without thinking becomes a habit. If not interrupted, it becomes a mainstay of our character and this aspect of our character leads us to a destiny where we become overweight and suffer from many diseases.

In order to reduce weight and later to maintain weight, it is necessary to do two things: one, control eating and two, workout the body. Here, let us concentrate on controlled eating.

Controlled eating does not necessarily mean reducing the amount of food eaten. Yes, in some cases this may be required but not always. What is more important is eating the right kind of food.

Changing a lifetime habit of eating the wrong kind of food is not easy. More than the body, it is the mind that has to relearn the new type of eating. Diet affirmations will help to retrain the mind and form new habits.

When the mind is controlled, the body follows suite. Any outer success has to be first achieved in the mind. Diet affirmations will condition your mind to accept new eating patterns that will help lose and later maintain weight. Repeat the affirmations at least a hundred times daily and/or write them at least fifteen times daily. Be consistent. Do it for not less than six months and see the results.
